The Best Beaches in Ibiza: San Antonio

1. Cala Comte

Cala Comte is a favorite among tourists, making it quite crowded during the summer. Located 13 km from San Antonio, it’s a non-smoking beach. There are also several restaurants in the area, with Sunset Ashram being the most popular, offering a spectacular sunset view. If you want to catch the sunset there, it’s recommended to book a table in advance due to its popularity.

How to Get to Cala Comte?

You can reach Cala Comte by ferry from San Antonio port or by the ALSA Line 4 bus. The bus journey takes about half an hour, starting from the Sant Antoni terminal. For more details on transportation in Ibiza, click here.

2. Cala Bassa

Just 3 km from Cala Comte is another spectacular cove, Cala Bassa, which has earned its place among the most beautiful beaches in Ibiza. Slightly narrower than Playa Comte, Cala Bassa delights with its Mediterranean decor typical of the Balearic Islands. It offers amenities such as sunbeds and umbrellas, showers, several bars and restaurants, and water sports for adrenaline lovers.

How to Get to Cala Bassa?

Cala Bassa can be reached by ferry, which takes about 15 minutes from San Antonio port, or by the ALSA Line 7 bus from the Sant Antoni terminal. The bus takes 40 minutes to reach Cala Bassa. For more details on transportation in Ibiza, click here.

3. Cala Salada

Cala Salada is one of my favorites, and I recommend not missing it if you visit Ibiza. It’s just 4.5 km from San Antonio, and nearby, separated by a few rocks, is Cala Saladita, with a small but equally beautiful beach.

How to Get to Cala Salada?

If you plan to go to Cala Salada by car, note that from May to October, the access road is closed to cars from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Only scooters, taxis, and those with reservations at the local restaurant are allowed. The simplest way is to take the ALSA Line 34 bus, which takes about 20 minutes from San Antonio to Cala Salada.

4. Cala d’Hort

Though not one of the most easily accessible coves due to the lack of public transport, Cala d’Hort is definitely one of the most visited beaches in Ibiza. Tourists are drawn here by the enchanting view of Es Vedrà island from the beach.

How to Get to Cala d’Hort?

Cala d’Hort is a 30-minute drive from either San Antonio or Ibiza Town. Unfortunately, there is no bus or ferry service to Cala d’Hort. Since everyone drives here, finding a parking spot can be challenging, so it’s essential to arrive early.

4. Ses Figueres

Ses Figueres, or Figueretas, is the most accessible beach from Ibiza Town, being the main beach in the city. For this reason, Ses Figueres doesn’t offer the wild landscape found in most coves in Ibiza and Spain, but the promenade area next to the beach is ideal for a sunrise or sunset walk.

How to Get to Ses Figueres Beach?

Figueretas is right in Ibiza Town, so you can walk there.
