Getting to Florence

Florence is served by Amerigo Vespucci Airport, located about 6 kilometers from the city center. The easiest way to reach the heart of Florence from the airport is by taxi, which takes around 15 minutes. Alternatively, you can take the tram line T2, which connects the airport to the central train station, Santa Maria Novella, in about 20 minutes.

From Bologna to Florence

  • By Bus: The most affordable option is the FlixBus or Itabus, with tickets starting at just €5. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes. Buses depart from Bologna Centrale and usually stop at Villa Costanza in Florence. From here, you can take the T1 tram to reach the city center. Some FlixBus routes also stop at Piazzale Montelungo, closer to the main attractions.
  • By Train: The train is the fastest option, taking around 40 minutes. Tickets start at €25.

From Pisa to Florence

  • By Train: The journey takes 50 minutes, with tickets starting at €10.
  • By Flibco Bus: The journey takes about 1 hour and costs €16.
