Seville has left a lasting impression on me, and it will be hard for it to fade away. It is my favorite place from my vacation in Andalusia and one of the most beautiful cities I have visited in Spain. What I loved most is the traditional Spanish spirit that can be felt on every street corner, and the cleanliness, which pleasantly surprised me. And the people: cheerful and with a great love for music and dance.

ToggleAs I often write here on the blog, Spain is my favorite country in Europe, and I declare myself, on every occasion, irreversibly in love with it. Seville confirmed that competing with the beauty of this country is not an easy task.
The city is truly electrifying, with an atmosphere perfectly complemented by friendly, cheerful people and an architecture that will make you stop at every turn. Not to mention the flamenco shows you can attend in broad daylight, on the streets and in the parks. In short, a perfect place to spend your vacation. Or almost perfect, because of the heat, which becomes very hard to bear in the summer. Andalusia is known as one of the hottest regions in Spain, with scorching summers and sunshine almost every day of the year. And Seville is the epitome of this picture, with temperatures easily exceeding 40 degrees Celsius during the summer.

Top 10 Must-See Attractions in Seville- What to Do in Seville
1. How to Get to Seville?
Seville has its own airport, so you can easily reach it by plane. There are often direct flights from various cities to Seville at generally reasonable prices. Of course, it depends on the time of year, but as of now, you can find round-trip tickets for a little over €100 during several months of the year. With a bit of luck, you can find even cheaper tickets. You can also reach Seville by train from Málaga in about 2 hours or from Madrid in 3 hours. I drove to Seville with a rental car from Málaga, and it also took about 2 hours to get there.
How to Get from the Airport to Seville?
From the airport, you can reach the city by the “Tussam” bus. It is the cheapest option, stops at several stations along the way, and takes about half an hour to the city center. It runs every 30 minutes, and a ticket costs €4.
2. Accommodation in Seville
Seville is one of the easiest cities to explore on foot in Europe, according to several articles that have ranked it as such. This is primarily because you can walk from one tourist attraction to another in a short time. But also because it is a real pleasure to wander through every street and admire every architectural detail.
For this reason, the best area to stay in Seville is the Santa Cruz neighborhood, the city’s central and most touristic area. Other options to consider are the Triana and El Centro neighborhoods.

3. Transportation in Seville
Except for transportation from the airport, you don’t need any means of transport in Seville. The city is easily visited on foot, and it would be a shame not to take advantage of this to fully discover it. There is also public transportation, such as the metro (there is only one metro line) or the tram, with centrally located stations better than the metro, but I still believe that the best way to visit Seville is on foot.
4. When to Visit Seville
As mentioned, the heat is a defining characteristic of Seville and Andalusia in general. So, if you are not good friends with the sun and very high temperatures, I recommend avoiding the summer months entirely and visiting Seville from October to March-April at the latest.
I visited Seville in the first week of June, and the temperatures were over 40 degrees Celsius, which made walking not very comfortable.
5. How Many Days Do You Need in Seville?
Seville is perfect both for a city break and as part of a longer vacation in Andalusia.
If you come here for a city break, 3-4 days are enough to see all the important tourist attractions and enjoy the beauty of the city.
On the other hand, if Seville is on your itinerary in Andalusia and time is limited, I recommend spending one night here and allocating at least 2 days. We spent only one day in Seville, and although we saw all the tourist attractions we planned, I would have liked to stay a night and enjoy the city more.
