Seville, one of the most beautiful cities I’ve visited, truly represents the essence of Spain. It’s a place filled with charm, music, and joy, where the architecture captures the eyes of even the most discerning critics.

As the capital of Andalusia, Seville boasts some of Spain’s most visited tourist attractions. I explored this vibrant city during a fantastic vacation through Andalusia, spending an entire day there, but I recommend dedicating at least two days to fully enjoy everything it has to offer.

Seville’s electrifying atmosphere, rich in tradition, is evident in its most popular attractions, which you must not miss!

What to See in Seville: Top Attractions

1. Royal Alcazar

The Royal Alcazar, or Real Alcazar in Spanish, is Seville’s most visited attraction. This complex of palaces and gardens is renowned for its Moorish architecture and is one of the oldest royal palaces in Europe. As a UNESCO World Heritage site, it draws countless tourists eager to explore its beauty.

You can purchase tickets for the Royal Alcazar online or at the entrance. Visits are scheduled in time slots, so if you’re on a tight schedule and want to enter at a specific time, buying tickets in advance is recommended. Allocate about 2-3 hours to fully appreciate the Alcazar.

2. Plaza de España

My personal favorite and the most impressive spot in Seville, Plaza de España, is a semi-circular square where you can fully immerse yourself in local tradition. The square is adorned with beautiful ceramic tiles representing Spanish provinces, and local artists often perform Andalusian music, adding to its charm.

This iconic location is the most photographed in Seville, so expect many visitors during the day.

One of Seville’s most interesting attractions, Plaza de Toros, is among the oldest bullfighting arenas in Spain, seating over 10,000 spectators. The adjacent museum offers insights into bullfighting history and displays torero costumes. The arena still hosts bullfights, especially during Feria de Abril and Semana Santa.
